Alexis Gibson

I began my creative life in theater and music, later gravitating towards still photography and poetry.  I continued searching for a more complete means of expression, which I ultimately identified in the medium of film.  After completing my Bachelor of Arts in International Relations in 1992, I spent a number of years living and working in Central Europe, with the intent of pursuing diplomacy, before deciding on a career in the creative world, which I discovered would allow me to impact culture...  My first student film, "To See" (2000), is a personal interpretation of Jean Giono's classic story for children: "Le petit garcon qui avait envie d'espace." 888 days x 2 is my graduation-thesis film towards the Master of Fine Arts degree in Film and Electronic Media at American University in Washington, DC.
